En dernière nouvelle nous apprenons le décès de notre ami Olivier Blanc survenu ce lundi 26 mai. À sa maman et à ses enfants nous présentons nos plus sincères condoléances.
Olivier était un ami et un éleveur de bourbonnais, son affixe (dou Coudounié) se retrouve dans nombres de pedigrees. Sa formation d'ingénieur agricole le prédisposait à l'élevage et sa convivialité de vigneron nous a souvent permis d'organiser des TAN et des rassemblements forts sympathiques chez lui sur son domaine le Prieuré Sainte Marie Vielle au THORONET (var). Il faisait parti du comité du C.B.B. en tant qu'élu mais il n’était plus accepte comme membre!......cependant il a beaucoup fait pour le bourbonnais et pour le club il mérite toute notre reconnaissance.

Our friend Olivier Blanc passed away this Monday, the 26th of May. To his mother and his children go our deepest sympathy.
Olivier was a friend and a Bourbonnais breeder, his affix (dou Coudounié) can be found in many pedigrees. His training as an agricultural engineer naturally led him to breeding and his friendliness often enabled us to organize Natural Ability Tests and nice gatherings in his domain « Le Prieuré Sainte Marie Vielle” in THORONET (Var). He had been elected to the C.B.B. comity but he was not accepted anymore as a member!!.... nevertheless, he did a lot for the Bourbonnais and the club and deserves all our recognition.

Thanks to Michael and Michel, I had the opportunity to meet with Oliver during our a visit to France. It was an honor to meet him and so many other individuals supporting this breed and interested in assisting me with my Bourbonnais ventures.

As you recall, Olivier offered his grounds for the mock test arranged during our visit. Following the field event, he opened up his home and we joined him for a very nice meal and conversation.

I was fortunate to have been able to acquire a pup from one of his breedings (Vurhi). His efforts with the Bourbonnais will continue to touch families for years to come...but his physical presents will be deeply missed.

My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends.
